After my son, Chance Stephens’ freshman year in which he jumped 5’8″, I knew he needed some professional coaching if he was going to fulfill his dream of competing at the collegiate level. I looked all over and finally found Coach Hugo. It has turned out to be the best decision we ever made. Chance has trained with Coach Hugo every summer since his freshman year and has steadily improved. Not only has Coach Hugo taught him lessons in high jumping, he also mixed in some great life lessons along the way. He instilled in Chance the confidence he needed to get to the next level. Thanks in large part, his dreams all came true last week when he signed to high jump for Mississippi State University. The opportunity to compete at the Division I level and in the SEC is beyond our wildest expectations. To cap it all off, this past weekend, at the Louisiana High School Indoor State Championships, Chance jumped a personal best 6’11 1/4″, tying the meet record and breaking his high school’s indoor record by 6 inches and 1/4! I have recommended Coach Hugo to so many people and will continue to do so. Thanks Coach!
